Steelers’ Najee Harris says he’s dealing with a Lisfranc joint injury in his foot

After the Steelers’ 19-9 win over the Lions on Sunday to end the preseason, Najee Harris told reporters he had been out with an injury to Lisfranc. Details of the foot injury were previously unknown.

A Lisfranc joint injury is a type of injury to the bones or ligaments, or both, in the midfoot. There is also often damage to the cartilage of the bones.

“It was good to play again,” Harris said. “[I was] A little rusty a bit I will say. I was inactive for about four weeks. … They stepped on my foot. I had a crooked Linsfranc. That’s why I was away for most of the camp. So to get back into the motions of things like that, I felt a little rusty. I was not very happy with my performance, bad reading in one race, I had a false start.
