Sony steps back into the mobile gaming ring and you should be excited

Sony returns to smartphone gaming by establishing the new mobile division of PlayStation Studios, revealing its first member, recently acquired Savage Game Studios.

Don’t worry; PlayStation isn’t changing gears to focus solely on mobile gaming. Console games will continue to be Sony’s forte. The company is simply expanding. PlayStation Studios boss Hermen Hulst states in the ad post (opens in a new tab) that these new efforts will be “additive [by] providing more ways for more people to engage with [Sony’s] content.” It’s a mindset similar to that of PS5 games coming to PC, like marvel spider man. Such moves, by the way, seem to have paid off. God of Warfor example, managed sell over two million copies when he made the leap to the desktop.
