Has it been three years already?
It seems that Control It didn’t come out that long ago, but today I found out that it’s been three years since the game was released. Man, time flies when you step into the black hole that is a global pandemic. seems on topic for Control, I guess. In my opinion, it’s one of the best shooter experiences to come out of gaming in quite some time, so it stands to reason that Control developer Remedy Entertainment has put together an event so fans can celebrate the anniversary in style.
Arguably the most exciting part of the Control The anniversary event is something Remedy calls “Fans Ask the Fadens,” where fans will have the opportunity to submit video questions to Courtney Hope and Sean Durrie, who play Jesse and Dylan Faden in the game. Videos must be 20 seconds or less in length, at least 1080p quality, and shot horizontally. You may send them here before the deadline of September 1 at 20:00 EEST / 18:00 BST / 13:00 ET / 10:00 PT.
Last week, the studio held a photo mode and fan art contest, and they compiled their favorites on the community tab on their website. However, it’s not too late to get involved, if you have any Control art you’ve been dying to share, you can head over to this site to upload it. You could have your art featured on their website or social media in the future!
Of course, they also have a 25% discount on all Control merchandise in the medicine shop, so you can get your hands on some cool shirts, posters, tote bags, or journals if you’ve been looking for them on the market. That sale ends today (Aug 29), though, so be sure to jump in if you’re interested.
Usually a game is released and that’s it, so it’s great to see Remedy keeping the community alive. They made a great game that has a ton of fans, and giving us all a place to come together and celebrate one of our favorite games is something I wish other studios would do as well.
