Iran tells the truth about inspections and the nuclear deal

Give Tehran credit for its candor, in a way. The Biden Administration and European allies are desperate to negotiate a new nuclear deal with Iran to replace the 2015 one. obama-deal of the era, and the Iranian regime is being honest that it will not comply with the inspections that come with that deal.

The latest evidence comes from a rare press conference held Monday by the president. ebrahim raisi. Speaking about the prospects for a new deal and a meeting with President Biden, the Iranian said: “Without the resolution of the safeguard issues, talking about a deal is meaningless.” By “safeguarding issues,” he refers to attempts by the International Atomic Energy Agency to investigate potential breaches of Iran’s nuclear commitments dating back to the early 2000s.
